Two-level tests: features of carrying out
Director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment Igor Likarchuk provided information on some features of two-level testing of school graduates, which the Ministry of Education and the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment plan to implement in 2015. He stressed that so far we are talking only about tests in the Ukrainian language and literature and mathematics. On his Facebook page, the director of UTSOKO said that the test in the Ukrainian language and literature will consist of two parts: "Basic" and "Advanced Level". "The basic level of the test will be taken by all entrants, regardless of what specialty they will apply for. The basic level of the test will be taken by all graduates of general education institutions, such as DPA. To this end (for DPA ) the basic level test will define tasks only in the Ukrainian language "- notes Likarchuk. He said that the in-depth level of the test in the Ukrainian language and literature will be taken by applicants who will enter the specialty for which the in-depth level will be required by the Rules of Admission to a particular university. "For the part of the basic level test, entrants will receive two results: one on a 12-point scale for the DPA, and the second on a scale of 100-200 points for admission to universities. Points: for the basic part and for the advanced part. For those who will take the test in Ukrainian language and literature for admission to the university, the basic part will determine the threshold "passed / failed" – said the director of UTSOKO. here the situation is somewhat simpler. It will also consist of a base and an in-depth part. Its entrants will take as well as a two-level test in the Ukrainian language and literature. It will be evaluated similarly. But there will be no assignments for the DPA, "Likarchuk writes. The director of the Assessment Center also spoke about the indicative technology of passing two-level external evaluation tests. At the test point, he will receive a notebook with a test of the appropriate level. For the advanced level test, additional time will be set for its passing, "said Igor Likarchuk. Also, according to him, testing will take place not in schools where applicants study, but in testing points.
