As a father of seven, this can be a challenge
Better than talking and imposing is the right action: buy fresh, let the child decide at the vegetable shelf, cook for themselves and eat together at the table. "If you set an example of good things, children will follow an example – not immediately, but step by step"so their experience.
It is worth experimenting from time to time. Using carrots as an example, Rieber makes it clear how many ways a child can get to know this vegetable: Solo as raw vegetables or with a dip, grated, boiled, steamed in butter, mixed with fruit in a smoothie. "We can blanch vegetables, cook them in the oven or puree them."
First of all, the child has to save the taste
"Once a child has saved the taste, this makes it easier for them to try other variants at some point." For example, if a child does not like breakfast bread, mixed drinks are a good alternative: a mug of yogurt or milk, some fruit and about one or two spoons of whole grain flakes – this is mixed and the strawberry and oatmeal milk is ready.
Cookbook author Peter Gehlmann has also thought about how even the youngest are happy at the table. As a father of seven, this can be a challenge.
It was said in his childhood "you eat what’s on your plate", the Gehlmann family avoids coercion and dogma. "If a child is absolutely not hungry in the morning, they can bring their breakfast with them to daycare or school"he describes. "Bread, fruit, pancakes – there are so many options, ‘and we don’t want a kid to start their day in a bad mood."
Eating should be fun
For Prof. Mathilde Kersting, child nutrition expert at the Ruhr University Bochum, the joy of eating is a central thought. "Eating is something beautiful. When eating together in the family, the focus should be on enjoyment, not the cramped pursuit of nutritional values", she says.
The mouth of children reveals the truth: What children babble all day long Potential fattening foods: How much fruit juice a day is okay for children? Crispy and tasty: these tips will make perfect oven vegetables
Some children also have phases in which a previously accepted dish suddenly no longer tastes good, says Kersting. Parents should be kind to this. It is worthwhile to offer the rejected food again and again in a relaxed manner. "Don’t surrender too soon!" It takes a certain persistence to offer dishes repeatedly and without pressure.

He was once considered the Crown Prince of Prime Minister Kretschmann. Now Tübingen’s controversial mayor Palmer is down with his Greens. The party wants the separation.https://123helpme.me/argumentative-essay/ Is he pulling himself by the strap?
A bang in Stuttgart: The Greens want to get rid of their uncomfortable Mayor Boris Palmer of Tübingen. The party has been annoyed with the 47-year-old for years. A comment on how to deal with older corona patients now brought the barrel to overflowing. "The state executive expects Boris Palmer to leave our party", announced the Baden-Württemberg party leadership. But Palmer wouldn’t be Palmer if he just followed something like that. He immediately lets you know: "I am greener out of ecological conviction. That’s why I’m staying a member."
Because of a controversial Corona statements, Palmer came under party criticism. (Source: dpa)
From the point of view of annoyed greens, the series of his missteps is extremely long. Sometimes it was about an advertising campaign for Deutsche Bahn with pictures of travelers with different skin colors. Palmer asked: "Which society should this represent?" Then he messed with a student at night in Tübingen as a law enforcement officer. Again and again it was about refugee policy. Sometimes Palmer admitted mistakes, apologized. More often than not, he claimed to be sticking to the facts.
Scream of indignation
On the Sat.1 breakfast television, the momentous sentence fell on the corona pandemic: "We may be saving people in Germany who would be dead in six months anyway due to their age and previous illnesses." A cry of indignation went through the republic. Baden-Württemberg’s Green Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann said that his former pupil had turned out "run down quite considerably".

Posted by Boris Palmer on Friday, May 8, 2020
He feels once again misunderstood. "Of course, I expect everyone to receive the best possible medical care." He just wanted to point out the serious economic consequences of a shutdown. Not more?
Palmer has been mayor of the student city since 2007. Before that he sat in the state parliament. For a long time he was considered a great talent by the Greens, and occasionally even as Kretschmann’s Crown Prince. Many consider him to be a clever man who, however, repeatedly lets himself be carried away to provocative remarks. Others think that he deliberately crosses the red lines: out of self-expression, regardless of his own party.
The process of elimination could take years
It has long been clear that Palmer will no longer work with the Greens. Last Monday, the party in the federal, state and district levels finally officially withdrew their support. Green members have already called for his exclusion several times. But a process could drag on for years – with no guarantee that it will work. The case of Thilo Sarrazin is seen by the Greens as a warning example: The SPD has been trying for more than ten years to kick out the former Berlin Senator for Finance.

What happens now? On Saturday, Baden-Württemberg’s Greens were silent about it. Much now depends on how the Tübingen mayor behaves in the future. In its decision of Friday evening, the Green State Executive also reserved a party regulation procedure, which could still involve expulsion from the party. This almost forces the Greens to do something the next time they are provoked. And that’s sure to come.

Berlin (dpa / tmn) – Whether in the mini version as the current breakfast trend or in the original format: pancakes have been a real classic at home for years. They have to be really fluffy and thick, and they have to be able to absorb the syrup and compote really well.
Very simple preparation: Roasted crust – ideal for the Christmas menu Pesticide leftovers: Edeka and Marktkauf call back spreads Reasons still unclear: Rossmann calls back disinfectants Caution, pieces of plastic: drugstore chain dm calls back gingerbread Nutcracker trick: crack frozen nuts with your bare hand
The plum compote in this recipe has a pleasant acidity and is also great if you like it with sweet maple syrup. So the day can start perfectly.
Ingredients for 7-8 pieces of pancakes and the plum compote:
For the dough: 180 g flour,
2 teaspoons of baking soda,
20 g sugar,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
30 g melted butter,
2 eggs, 200 ml buttermilk
For the plum compote:
750 g plums,
80 ml of water,
1 packet of bourbon vanilla sugar,
1 tbsp lemon juice,
1 teaspoon cinnamon,
3 tbsp sugar
Oil and butter for frying,
Maple syrup if needed
Preparation:
1. Wash, core and slice the plums.
2. Put 450 g of it in a saucepan, add water and bring to the boil.
3. The remaining plums (300 g) will be used later to layer them between the finished pancakes.
4. Put the vanilla sugar, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in the saucepan, stir and let the compote boil over high heat for about 15 to 20 minutes. But please be careful that the sugar does not caramelize too much and bake firmly, so reduce the heat.
5. Meanwhile, put the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl and add the liquid ingredients (butter, eggs and buttermilk).
6. Mix everything with a whisk. A few lumps can remain in the dough.
7. Place a coated pan on the stove and heat it up. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan and wait for the butter to melt. Then reduce the heat a little.
8. Put two tablespoons of batter into the pan and fry several pancakes at the same time. Bake the entire dough one after the other.
9. Brown on both sides over medium heat until golden brown. Tip: Do not turn the pancakes until the dough shows air bubbles on the surface.
10. Arrange the pancakes on plates.
11. Serve the compote with the pancakes while still hot, refine with maple syrup if necessary.
12. Layer the remaining plum slices between the pancakes, if desired.
