Looks like there were no shortage of bloopers when it came to filming Pirates of the Caribbean. We have already seen Johnny Depp wearing a hat that’s far too modern to have come from pirate times, but what about this guy in the background? Can you see what he’s wearing?
It looks like a cowboy has accidentally stumbled onto the set of a pirate film. How on earth did this guy end up on a pirate ship? We’re pretty sure there were no cowboy hats, white t-shirts and aviators back in the 1700s. We’re sure someone can correct us if we’re wrong, however. We have a sneaky suspicion this may be a member of the crew once again.
Hell or High Water (2016)
This Oscar-nominated action drama features two brothers, played by Ben Foster and Chris Pine, who decide to rob banks for a living after their mother passes away. Down on their luck, and with the home of one brother under threat, they see no option but to steal. Sounds perfectly reasonable, right?
Closely following the brothers is a veteran police officer who is looking for one last bust before he retires. Enter the legendary Jeff Bridges as ilton, and you can see why it won 48 awards. The film is set in the present day, but the patches the state troopers wear are actually dated from before the ‘90s. Why are they wearing such out of date patches? Costume department couldn’t find any modern ones?
The Revenant (2015)
Leonardo DiCaprio stars in The Revenant as a man who struggles to survive harsh conditions after being mauled by a bear. Leo’s character is left for dead by his hunting crew as they tried to skin the animal. This would be the first time Leonardo Dicaprio, who played Hugh Glass, would win an Oscar for best actor! However, it’s not without its flaws.
Right at the beginning of the film, we see Hugh Glass going to the toilet, and he pulls up his zipper when he’s finished. The film is set in 1820, but the first zipper was patented until 1851, making him slightly ahead of his time. There’s no way he could have had a zipper to pull up. However, we already know Leo is a time traveler in escort reviews Cary NC Titanic, so maybe that’s just his thing!
12 Years a Slave (2013)
The biographical drama set in the deep south follows the life of a black man from New York who is sold to slavery. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Solomon who suffers cruelty, barely stays alive, and tries to maintain his dignity throughout the entire experience. Unsurprisingly, this box office smash managed to scoop up three Oscar awards and 238 other wins!
That doesn’t mean it’s completely issue-free, though. Solomon is seen playing the violin at the beginning of the movie, but something isn’t right with the picture. The strings on the instrument are synthetic, but during that period of history, they would have been made with natural materials. Synthetic violin strings weren’t invented until quite a while later, so it just doesn’t make any sense.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
The film won six Oscars, largely for costume and production design. It is essentially one long car chase that has viewers filled with suspense until the credits finally roll. The reboot starred big names such as Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult.
One mistake the editing team overlooked was the windshield in Immortan Joe’s vehicle. Throughout the movie, the glass keeps appearing and disappearing for some unknown reason. This might explain Immortan Joe, played by Hugh Keays-Byrne, has such red eyes after driving through the dry and dusty desert. Someone give this poor guy his windshield back! He can’t see without it.
